Today Commodity Market Strategy

Dear All,

BASE METAL WRAP: 

Copper fell for the first time in five days as the U.S. government headed for a potential shutdown over a budget stalemate. Lead and nickel also dropped.

ENERGY WRAP: 

West Texas Intermediate oil fell after the biggest gain in two weeks after U.S. crude stockpiles increased twice as much as forecast.

PRECIOUS METAL WRAP: 

Gold held above $1,300 an ounce after gaining the most in two weeks as investors assessed the U.S. government shutdown and its impact on the outlook for monetary stimulus from the U.S. Federal Reserve.

GLOBAL EVENTS TO WATCH: 

FOMC Member Bullard Speaks, Fed Chairman Bernanke Speaks, Services PMI, Challenger Job Cuts y/y, Unemployment Claims, ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI, Natural Gas Storage, FOMC Member Powell Speaks.
