COMMODITY MARKET TRENDS 10 April 2014

BASE METAL WRAP: 
Copper climbed for the first time in three days before Chinese trade data and after minutes from the Federal Reserve eased concern over the timeline for higher U.S. interest rates.

ENERGY WRAP:
 
West Texas Intermediate crude traded near the highest price in a month as rising fuel demand in the U.S. countered signs of a slowing Chinese economy. Brent slid in London.

PRECIOUS METAL WRAP: 
Gold held near a two-week high after the release of U.S. Federal Reserve minutes that played down forecasts by some of the bank’s own policy makers that interest rates might rise faster than they previously predicted.
