BASE METAL WRAP:
Copper futures have closed slightly lower on the London Metal Exchange
(LME), lacking clear direction as investors await a batch of economic news and
data later in the week.
ENERGY WRAP:
Brent crude swung between gains and losses after dropping the most in almost a
month as Libya prepared to resume oil exports from the eastern port of
Zueitina. West Texas Intermediate was steady in New York.
PRECIOUS METAL
WRAP: Gold held a retreat below $1,300 an ounce, trimming a
monthly rise, on speculation that the Federal Reserve will further reduce U.S.
monetary stimulus as it starts a two-day policy meeting today.
GLOBAL EVENTS TO WATCH: Trade Balance, German Prelim CPI m/m, Prelim
GDP q/q, S&P/CS Composite-20 HPI y/y, CB Consumer Confidence.
