COMMODITY MARKET TRENDS 28 April 2014


BASE METAL WRAP: Nickel climbed for a second day to a 14-month high on concern that supplies from Russia may be disrupted amid mounting tensions over Ukraine.

ENERGY WRAP: Brent rebounded from its biggest loss in almost three weeks as the U.S. said it will impose more sanctions on Russia, the world’s biggest energy exporter, as the Ukraine crisis escalates. West Texas Intermediate rose.

PRECIOUS METAL WRAP: Gold climbed to its highest in 1-1/2 weeks on Monday, steadying above $1,300 an ounce as weaker equities and escalating geopolitical tensions in Ukraine boosted the metal's safe-haven appeal.
